Beth Siegfried, NATP President

As I write this, I can’t believe it is already almost July and currently 107 degrees outside.  I hope all of you are enjoying summer activities and your transit agencies are getting back to a post-COVID normal. This will be my farewell message since you will have a new President when the next newsletter comes out.

I hope you like the looks of the new newsletter and hopefully we won’t have as much redundancy.

You should have received your notice for NATP’s annual membership dues. Your support is greatly appreciated. If you have any suggestions to improve our organization, contact your area NATP Board representative or any of the Board members.  We are always looking for ways to improve our organization.

It will be great to see as many of you as possible in person at the annual managers meeting in Lincoln. I think we have a good meeting planned so be sure to get your registration in and mark your calendars. Please consider going to the Salt Dogs baseball game. I think it will be a fun evening at the ballpark and a great opportunity to network with your fellow managers and just have good time.

The Roadeo is also coming up quickly. Our theme this year is Kentucky Derby, which I think should be an easy theme to work with.  Please encourage your drivers to participate in the Roadeo and to take advantage of the learning opportunities the day before. It is a great way to get those annual education hours out of the way and meet other drivers. Come to the Roadeo and enjoy a day outside away from work with a great group of people. We are always looking for volunteers for the Roadeo. If you are interested in helping let the NATP office know.

I have enjoyed having the opportunity to serve as your president this last year and wish you all the very best in the coming year.

Beth Siegfried
NATP Board President

Beth, Thank you for serving as President this last year – a challenging year as well! I’ll miss you in Lincoln as I will be out of town that week and unable to attend.
